For 50 years, London Glassblowing has championed studio glassmaking. This anniversary exhibition brings together over 40 artists - current residents, cherished guests, and pioneers from founder Peter Layton's earlier studios - to celebrate a remarkable journey from 1976 to today's thriving gallery.

Yes, entry to the gallery is free and no booking is required. Visitors are welcome to drop in and explore. While we don't offer formal group bookings, small groups are welcome to get in touch - we'll do our best to accommodate your visit.
The gallery is closed every Monday. We also close on Good Friday and Easter Monday (but remain open over the Easter weekend), and during the Christmas period until the New Year. Specific closure dates will be listed on the website during these periods.
Our artists are in the studio making work Tuesday to Friday, 10am - 5pm, with a lunch break around 1 - 2pm. On weekends, artists often work in the studio during similar hours.

Yes, all works on display are available for purchase. You can also browse our online shop for available pieces. We encourage visiting the gallery when possible - as a working studio, there's always new work in progress and pieces we can show you beyond what's on display. Alternatively, feel free to enquire by email. We also collaborate with interior designers and architects on bespoke commissions.

As a working studio, the gallery has some accessibility limitations. We encourage anyone with specific access needs to get in touch before visiting so we can accommodate you.
We're located on Bermondsey Street, near the Fashion and Textiles Museum, on the Shard end of the street.
From London Bridge Station (Northern and Jubilee lines, plus National Rail), use the Tooley Street exit on the south side. The gallery is a 5-minute walk from there. We strongly recommend travelling by public transport.
Parking in the area is limited. We have a small car park available - please get in touch before your visit if you'd like to use it. Public transport is recommended as the most convenient option.
Yes, Bermondsey Street is a thriving food and culture destination, nestled between Borough Market and Maltby Street Markets near London Bridge and the Shard. The area is home to acclaimed restaurants including José Pizarro's three venues, Angela Hartnett's Cafe Murano, Baccalà and Casse-Croûte, alongside numerous cafés, pubs and eateries to suit all tastes. The area is also home to White Cube and the Fashion and Textile Museum, with Tate Modern nearby.
