Meet Deborah Timperley

Deborah Timperley has been working with glass for twenty-five years, specialising in cast glass. Her artworks reflect a connection between the material and its concept, strongly emulating a sense of place. Based in a rural studio in Haywards Heath, she has created artworks which have been showcased in prestigious exhibitions across Europe, including the British Glass Biennale.

About the Work

Deborah’s sculptures capture the beauty of natural landscapes and human interventions, drawing inspiration from stone bridges, harbour walls, rocky outcrops, and dry stone walling. Her compositions skilfully blend defined rocky edges with the softness of surrounding vegetation, while bold colours reminiscent of the landscape’s richness imbue each piece with a unique atmosphere. In this exhibition, Deborah’s latest work beautifully captures the interplay of sunlight over the landscape and the sea.
