Physics has long provided the inspiration and framework for Anthony’s creative practice. Rather than illustrating scientific ideas through mathematics, his sculptures provide a material space in which to encourage abstract thinking and challenge perceptions through his use of light and form.

Peter has selected Echoes of Future Ghosts to illustrate Anthony’s conceptual approach. This piece emerged from a fascination with Quantum Foam, in which space and time dissolve into a turbulent topology of infinitesimal wormholes. The sculptural components subtly warp the illuminated plane upon which the piece rests, suggesting that perception is never fixed and that even stable systems contain the potential for disorder.

If ghosts are the persistence of the past, then perhaps these forms imply another kind of haunting. They may represent traces of possible futures: insubstantial architectures pressing quietly against the threshold of perception, lingering like whispers from a future already inscribed within the fabric of the cosmos.
