This year marks London Glassblowing's 50th anniversary. Throughout 2026, we present a special programme of curated exhibitions featuring leading contemporary glass artists, alongside work by Peter Layton, Tim Rawlinson and our resident artists, with highlights including our celebratory 50th anniversary exhibition in June.

Our gallery is constantly refreshed with new pieces, so there's always something inspiring to discover—whether you visit during a themed exhibition or any time throughout the year.

Gaffers and Protégés

Gaffers and Protégés

11 September - 4 October

A gaffer leads the making at the furnace while a protégé is an artist shaped by a mentor. For Peter Layton, the two are inseparable. This exhibition reunites the British glass artists whose collaborations on Peter's iconic series - Burano, Paradiso, Tahiti and more - defined London Glassblowing, alongside a piece each artist has revisited from their own past work, at Peter's invitation.
