Tim Rawlinson

Presence of Absence

£8,500.00

Inspired by the innovative use of negative space in contemporary architecture, this unique piece explores the interplay between presence and absence. A segment of the circle is cut out, creating a focal point in itself. The exposed interior surface is meticulously polished using specialised tools that Tim has custom-designed for this intricate process. The result is a harmonious balance between the solid form and the empty space, challenging traditional perceptions of sculpture and encouraging viewers to reconsider the relationship between object and environment.
