Fabrica Echo is a new development of Tim’s earlier Fabrica series, which was inspired by Caravaggio’s ingenious use of chiaroscuro—the Italian term for “light-dark”—where strong tonal contrasts suggest volume and depth. In Fabrica, this was expressed through the dramatic pirouetting of colour, enhanced by the natural shine of the glass. In Fabrica Echo, Tim merges this approach with his Echoes of Light concept, creating forms that capture both movement and reflection. For the first time in this series, he introduces opaque colours, offering a bolder visual impact while retaining the dynamic interplay of light and shadow. The result is a compelling evolution that emphasises contrast, texture, and the sculptural potential of glass as a medium.
