Colony
Description
Colony is a bonded assembly of seven optical glass cubes forming a 3D cruciform structure. The cubes are water-gilded with 22ct gold leaf on one surface, then engraved with a hexagon pattern prior to UV bonding. The resulting internal honeycomb is trapped within the sculpture, creating multiple reflections and refractions while protecting the fragile gold leaf. The outer surfaces are scattered with hand-engraved and gilded bees. The work celebrates the importance of bees in the natural world, transforming them into an optical illusion where gilding and insects appear to shift and disappear within the structure.

Delivery, Collection & Returns
We personally pack each shipment with care and aim to send most orders out within 1-3 working days. Orders placed on a Friday will be shipped the following week. Within the UK delivery typically takes 1-3 working days. International delivery typically takes 5-14 working days, depending on location.
All orders are shipped via DHL with a signed-for service. You will receive shipping details as soon as your order is booked in. If you have a specific day you'd like to receive your order, please let us know. We're also happy to include a handwritten note if you'd like.
