This summer, we are thrilled to announce an exciting lineup of events and exhibitions you won't want to miss.

Established in 1976, London Glassblowing showcases the stunning creations of Peter Layton, his resident artists, and specially invited guest artists. Located on vibrant Bermondsey Street, the gallery is surrounded by a lively mix of restaurants, bars, shops, and galleries, making it the perfect destination for a summer day out.

Odds & Ends

19 - 28 July

Renowned glass artist Peter Layton is parting with a collection of his most cherished oddities—private experiments, fleeting ideas, and unfinished works lovingly preserved over his 50-year career.

Glass Heaven

2 August - 1 September

In August, we are excited to host Peter Layton's celebrated solo show, which for the first time will feature work by his talented son-in-law, Tim Rawlinson. Together, their glass works weave a compelling narrative, bridging tradition and innovation.

Bermondsey Street Festival

21 September | 11am - 5pm

As we move into September, we eagerly prepare for the Bermondsey Street Festival. This beloved event returns, saved by local businesses, and we'll be there with eclectic artworks and generous discounts at our stall and yard sale. For more information, click here.

Visit us this summer and experience the magic of contemporary glass art at London Glassblowing.

Due to high temperatures, our artists are taking a summer break, with glassblowing resuming on September 3rd.

Our opening hours are from Tuesday - Saturday 10am - 5pm and Sunday 11am - 5pm. We look forward to seeing you then.

Hello!,

Can you tell me what times you are open on Easter Saturday and on Easter Sunday. (also Monday although my visit is less likely this day) and whether I will be able to see glass being blown in the making whilst there on these days and between what times?

Thank you 😊
