Peter Layton features in The Times' Entrepreneurs Network, speaking with writer Niamh Curran as he prepares to hand over the studio and gallery to his daughter Sophie Layton and her husband, Tim Rawlinson.
Reflecting on 50 years of London Glassblowing, from its 1976 founding on the banks of the River Thames to today's Bermondsey Street home, Peter describes a lifelong labour of love — and, at 89, no plans to step away from the furnaces entirely.
"We hope that the work is life enhancing... I just want a whole range of people to enjoy our work."
