Spectroscopic Continuum #27
Helen's artistic practice is rooted in evoking atmospheric memories of places that feel both familiar and imagined. Her landscapes emerge from the subconscious - shaped by dreams, fictional stories, and fragments of the real world. These spaces are emotional impressions rather than literal representations, offering viewers deeply personal interpretations. She approaches colour as an expressive language, inspired by the Fauves and late Impressionism. She explores various materials including oils, watercolors, and glass, which holds particular significance for its transformative qualities - how it captures light, reflects colour, and challenges technique and imagination, creating contemplative and immersive experiences.
