Gallery Sales Assistant
Part-time: 2 days a week
Including Sundays as the main working day
£25-30k pro rata depending on experience
London Glassblowing is a well established art/craft business with a gallery attached to a working studio on vibrant Bermondsey Street in SE1. Visitors can see and purchase stunning contemporary glass art by our resident and guest artists as well as being able to view the creative process. We pride ourselves on being one of the best glassblowing studios in Europe and comprise a friendly and hardworking team.
We are seeking a highly motivated Sales Assistant to:
- Be one of the first point of contact for visitors to the gallery
- Engage with customers with a view to making a sale and to deliver outstanding customer service and a luxury experience
- Confidently phone clients and build relationships
- Email customers to encourage sales
- Enter accurate data entry of customer records
- General housekeeping including dusting of gallery and artworks
- Maintain high presentation standards and tidiness throughout the gallery and storage areas
The candidate must have:
- Proven sales experience
- Enthusiasm and a personable manner
- Great organisational skills with the ability to multitask
- A love and genuine interest in contemporary art
- Excellent communication and people skills
- The ability to work as an individual and as part of a team
- Good IT skills, literacy and numeracy
- A strong attention to detail
- A willingness to learn and the ability to follow instructions
- Drive to work towards weekly targets
