Tim Rawlinson

Tim's Hydrozoa aims to encapsulate the inherent fluidity of an underwater scene. Bursting with vibrant colour, the artwork evokes the graceful form of a jellyfish gracefully gliding through the depths of the ocean.

This piece is an innovative fusion of glassblowing and kiln casting. Multiple blown components converge within a kiln, melding into a singular form. In molten state, the glass colour dances and spreads, freezing into a tranquil stasis as it cools. The highly polished finish promotes its illusive and optical finish.
