Pleione B426
Bruno's work investigates relationships between form, colour, light and glass. Working primarily with geometric forms, he has chosen the sphere as a vehicle to explore these themes in this piece.
Pleione features a hollow core that is intentionally offset, creating a gradient of glass thickness and a corresponding gradation of colour from top to bottom. Through careful manipulation of glass density, Bruno achieves subtle colour transitions throughout the piece. The sphere rests on a curved base with a single point of contact, introducing an element of dynamic tension. This work continues a series Bruno initially developed for the British Glass Biennale in 2019.
