Meet Bruno Romanelli

Bruno Romanelli, an established and highly successful artist, has specialised in lost wax glass casting for over 30 years. A graduate of the Royal College of Art, he initially made his name creating figurative glass sculptures, often incorporating casts of his own body. With work in many major collections worldwide, including The Victoria & Albert Museum in London, Bruno is recognised as a leading contemporary in his field.

In recent years, his work has shifted towards abstract and geometric concepts, exploring the fundamental relationships between form, light, and colour. Symmetry, balance, precision and harmony are underlying themes in Bruno's work. He masterfully controls light and colour by combining opacity, transparency, and translucency - key material qualities of glass, to create harmony and energy within each piece. The apparent simplicity of his sculptures belies the complexity of their process and realisation.
