The sculptures aim to showcase the intricate structure of the nautilus shell, drawing parallels between nature and mathematics through the scaled increase of each hollow chamber. Encasing the shell within loose glass particles resembles the process of fossil excavation, highlighting the role of the negative space to reveal the discovery inside. This process mirrors kiln casting moulds, discarded yet essential. Emotionally, the pieces reflect on feelings of isolation, offering a quiet contemplation on these varied experiences.
