Within his works James often explores our interaction and fascination with ancient artefacts. Maybe it is the untold stories of worship, sacrifice and survival that are held within them that spark our imagination or the pure beauty of our ancestors craftsmanship.

The Clovis Collection is the result of laboured experiments by Devereux to be able to literally chip the glass like stone and evolve it into highly refined artwork. After perfecting this unusual technique, Devereux produces breathtaking results, monolithic objects with smooth lines that are juxtaposed with fractured edges.
