Erratics

£300.00

My new work titled ’Erratics’ consists of clear, freeblown amorphous forms, each containing a different shade of gold leaf. The organic shape of the forms help to bend and distort the light reflected off the internal gold leaf, bestowing each individual piece with its own unique glow.

The term ‘Erratic’ refers to a geological phenomenon by which rocks are deposited via glacial movement over a period of thousands of years. The rocks often differ from the type of rock native to the area in which it rests. Erratics, which take their name from the Latin word errare, are carried by glacial ice, often over distances of hundreds of kilometres.
