Ghost Ocean Shard Vessel with Radiator Cap
These vessels juxtapose tropical coral-inspired patterns with lids made from beach-collected plastics, representing our Anthropocene legacy if plastic dependency continues unchecked. Created for the 2024 "The Glass Heart" exhibition at Two Temple Place, they formed part of the "Ghost Ocean" installation highlighting coral reef destruction through ocean acidification and pollution. Each piece begins with a plastic fragment collected from beaches worldwide that determines its shape. Waste glass is then gathered, formed and blown to illustrate environmental disruption, with the original plastic piece completing the vessel - a compelling visual dialogue between natural beauty and human-made pollution.
