Console Table with Two Portals
Graeme believes that having a broad understanding of materials; their limitations and possibilities, widens the scope for creativity. Sustainability and tradition are at the core of his creations. He chooses to use native species, such as ash from local timbers, which has a rich history in the UK..
Taking inspiration from sculptors such as Barbara Hepworth, Henry Moore and Isamu Noguchi as well as modernist architects like Le Corbusier, he has endeavoured to achieve bold yet serene qualities. By cutting through thick solid components Graeme has sought to create a sense of space and light in his pieces, while monochromatic colouring highlights their form.
