The Media Society Award
London Glassblowing works on an ongoing basis with a number of clients. Among these Peter Layton has particularly enjoyed his relationship with the Media Society in providing their prestigious annual award.
Over the years Peter’s pieces have been presented to a number of esteemed media figures including Melvin Bragg, Jeremy Paxman, Sir Harold Evans and Clare Balding.
Clare thanked Peter for creating the award, referring to it as a unique work of art.

The prestigious annual Media Society Award was presented to Clare Balding on 4 February 2016 at a gala dinner in central London. Ahead of their trip to New York for the annual Glass Art Society Conference at the Corning Museum of Glass, Peter and Tim shared an insightful talk with guests at our gallery. In this special preview of the presentation they would go on to deliver at the world-renowned museum, Peter and Tim looked back on more than fifty years of creativity, craftsmanship, and community, sharing personal insights into the studio's evolution while also considering its future. From there, they headed to Corning, New York, for the conference itself!
