Nacreous
Traditional dioramas sought to imitate nature, instilling the viewer with a reverence to its beauty by offering a glimpse into the spectacular nature of the world. Within her own, modern diorama, Cathryn strives to represent the nacre-like iridescence of shells from her own personal collection. This piece is formed by compiling multiple layers of fine glass cane with dichroic in a complex, compelling and evocative way.
