Koi, inspired by the vibrant colours and patterns of koi fish, Tim Rawlinson's artwork showcases a painterly use of glass pigments. Layers of pigment create rich gradients of colour, undergoing a chemical reaction when mixed together. The blown ball of colour, suspended in a thick layer of clear glass, resembles an eye, while the clear surrounding magnifies and distorts the internal colours, reminiscent of marbled textiles.
