Chasing Everything in Endless Song
For this body of work, Amanda has returned to a series developed during her residency at Lyth Arts Centre in Caithness. A place where you have 360-degree views of land, sea and sky, this collection depicts these natural elements in abstract forms.
Directly influenced by John Muir’s quote, ‘nature is ever at work building and pulling down, creating and destroying, keeping everything whirling and flowing, allowing no rest but in rhythmical motion, chasing everything in endless song out of one beautiful form into another’, Amanda has created lightweight, delicate glass sculptures that echo the fragility and resistance of our planet.
