Peter Layton's Rock series was inspired by beachcombing in Cornwall, where slate-like stones revealed delicate white calcareous deposits from marine life. Their intricate, markings resembled natural script etched by the sea. Through layered glass surfaces and textures, the Rock series captures the rugged beauty of the Cornish coast.
