Bloom I

Bloom is a brand new series of works created for London Glassblowing for Summer Solstice. Katherine Huskie was fascinated by the summer flowers that bloom around the solstice, not only with their bold colours and hues but with their multiple layers of petals as they open. Wanting to strip back the idea to a beautifully simplistic design Katherine has produced multiple bowl forms that nestle within one another creating a depth and richness within, protecting the inner jewel like form. You have to look within to see the beauty which radiates within the bowl.
