Spinnaker

Clear and blue optical glass. The main body of the piece is made of four separate pieces of high clarity optical glass. Each section is cut and polished in order to fit perfectly with its counterparts.  The piece is then meticulously reassembled using high clarity optical epoxy especially designed for the glass industry.

The base is made of a single solid piece of blue optical glass which has been cast, spherically lapped and finally acid etched in order to give the surface a beautiful satin look and feel.

The term Spinnaker refers to a special sail which billows out from the from of a wind powered craft
