Orrery Scent Bottle - Ruby

Anthony's Orrery Scent Bottles, dating back to the early 2000s, were among his first optical refractive glass pieces. Through creating them, he discovered that 'the whole is far greater than the sum of its parts.' These early works laid the foundation for all his future creations, making them especially meaningful. This inspired him to revisit them for this year's Collect, applying his now more refined technique.

The creation process begins with blown glass, followed by precise cutting, sandblasting, and optical polishing. Each piece is then reassembled using specialized optical bonding techniques. The finishing touch is a custom stopper, ground and polished by hand - a meticulous process requiring at least ten hours of detailed work.
