Triptych Looking Down the Valley Eiger and Monch
Kate intends to capture the feeling of motion and excitement as the drama of the landscape unfolds. Through layering and experimentation with various gradations of transparency and opacity, these three dimensional images change as you view them - details are alternately brightening and receding, moving with the light. In this body of work, Kate explores the relationship between The Eiger, The Monch and The Jungfrau Mountains in the Swiss Alps and their dominating presence over the scenery and valleys below.
