R2070 Jura Rocks

Colin has long turned to nature as a source for his work, from student days when he cast tree bark, molehills and soil for its texture, to rocks found on the west coast of Japan. A keen sailor since childhood, in recent years he has been sailing the Scottish west coast and Hebrides, enabling him to access remote places, often only accessible by sea. By taking mould materials with him, he travels with the intention of looking for new material, and making casts of rocks, seaweed and anything he finds of interest.
