Louis is one of the foremost glassmakers currently working in the UK. Having previously headed up the Glass Department at Staffordshire University he joined London Glassblowing in 2003. Whilst here, he completed a Masters degree at the Royal College of Art and has been the recipient of a number of prestigious awards including the Jerwood Makers Prize. Louis recently held a spectacular solo show in Canada Wharf, London.

A Golden Christmas at London Glassblowing
We are marking the countdown to our 50th anniversary with a gold-themed Christmas exhibition. Founded by Peter Layton in 1976, the studio has evolved into one of Europe's longest-running glass galleries. Artists have created special pieces incorporating gold to celebrate this milestone "Golden Year" as the studio prepares for 2026's anniversary celebrations.
