The Rings are a development of my disc forms, in which I hoped the Meander pattern would contract as it disappeared through the hole. But in the event, something much more intriguing occurred; I like the way the pattern was disrupted by the addition of the void. Our affectionate working title for these forms was ‘Donut’ and I plan to experiment with showing them horizontally.
