Void II
Joseph Harrington's piece, Void ii, captures the essence of the solstice, a moment when objects align cyclically while also evolving over time. The artwork portrays a standing stone harmonising with its surroundings. Joseph employs his innovative ‘Lost Ice Process’, using salt to sculpt ephemeral ice models, from which he takes a direct cast. This technique yields textured surfaces and reflects the transient nature of the creative process, symbolising erosion and our enduring desire to leave a mark on the passage of time.
