She creates images through copper wheel engraving, a technique unchanged for two thousand years, producing gem-like precision and delicacy. Rooted in the Scottish landscape, her work draws on air, water, standing stones and boats, exploring both personal and universal symbolism. This newly completed work illustrates that relationships can be complicated and tangled. However, the coloured lines are Lissajous patterns: sound waves created by computer analysis of the notes of the harp, intertwining in harmony.
