Jupiter Menhir
Continuously inspired by our solar system, this series is influenced by the most recent images of Jupiter, taken by the James Webb Space Telescope. Unlike the first photographs taken by the Hubble Telescope in 1991, these brand new images come from the observatory’s Near-Infrared Camera (NIRCam), which has three specialised infrared filters that showcase details of the planet. Since infrared light is invisible to the human eye, the light has been mapped onto the visible spectrum so we can see Jupiter’s giant storms, powerful winds, auroras and extreme temperature and pressure conditions.
