This series comprises a number of variations on a theme - improvising, riffing, changing motif or direction to create lively and rhythmic complexities of colour and pattern. There is also a distinctly African influence derived from looking at Kente textiles from Ghana. Here, colour and design is meaningful and symbolic, a form of communication. Black refers to spiritual awareness, red mens passion while blue stands for pure spirit and harmony.
