Vessel R1933 is made in two firings; First to cast a thick slab of glass, then after coldworking reheating to over an aperture so the softened glass gently drops through the hole. It is then battuto cut, a traditional Murano technique. The vessel is the most enduring of forms which has been with humanity since the beginning and has been expressed in countless ways in all cultures.
