“My latest series titled ‘Abstract Geometry’ was a way for me to explore not only the fundamental properties of refractive forms, but also to have fun with them.
The pieces themselves are constructed of perfectly clear optical glass, lending a quiet, tranquil quality to the forms themselves. At the centre of each piece lies a panel of light sensitive dichroic glass, which has been kiln formed in such a way as to capture its own unique landscape. Although technically challenging, these pieces were also a lot of fun for me to create. I have particularly enjoyed seeing how each of the many processes alter the light transmitting qualities of the pieces as they evolve from a collection of disconnected components, to a finely polished, finished object.'”- Anthony Scala
