One of the things which sets our studio apart from many others are the intense periods of experimentation, or ‘playtime’ as we describe them, that Peter and the team devote to the creation of each new collection. This process is costly and time consuming and often yields beautiful pieces which suggest new directions to explore. The very special versions of these are kept on Peter’s sample shelves, often for years, until eventually Peter feels that he is able to release them. These form part of our ‘Highlights’ collection.
Months of experimenting went into producing the Georgia series, launched at the Tate Modern last year. This Stoneform, though not used as the final colourway, was kept to one side by Peter due to its beautiful array of colours.
