About this piece
At the time Karen was working as a hotshop assistant, London Glassblowing was working quite extensively with the iridising technique. The iridising process requires the addition of Stannous Chloride to the outside of the piece, in order to create vibrant metallic lusters on the surface. This is a very rare example of Karen’s blown and iridised work. The only piece we have in our entire collection in fact!
