About the Gallery

London Glassblowing is a well established art/craft business with a gallery and working studio located on vibrant Bermondsey Street in SE1. Visitors can see and purchase contemporary glass art by our resident and guest artists as well as being able to view the creative process. We pride ourselves on being one of the best glassblowing studios in Europe and comprise a friendly and hardworking team.

The gallery and studio is based on vibrant Bermondsey Street, which is becoming the arts hot-spot of SE1, featuring internationally renowned galleries such as the White Cube and Fashion & Textile Museum as well as a host of independent galleries and artists’ studios.  

Marketing Communications Manager


Salary up to £27,000 per annum, depending on experience

Participation in our sales bonus scheme

20 days holidays per year plus statutory bank holidays

We are looking for a creative and talented Marketing Communications Manager with a love of writing who can devise and deliver our marketing campaigns. As we launch new artworks and promote our exhibition programme, the role offers the right candidate the perfect opportunity to make a positive impact on our studio/gallery through thoughtful and innovative ideas and strategies.

They should be committed to helping to grow the business and to promote this unique medium.

The role includes:

  • Planning, developing and delivering effective marketing campaigns across all platforms (including segments of our CRM, our website, publicity and printed material).
  • Managing gallery CRM, creating reports from sales data, implementing updates required for gallery operations.
  • Creating CRM reports to advise the gallery directors regarding strategic direction and exhibition planning
  • Ensuring that all communications both printed and digital convey our brand and engage our audience through inspiring text and images to enhance the gallery’s reputation and profile.
  • Carrying out day-to-day management of our website, ensuring that it is kept fresh, informative, inspirational and effective.
  • Liaising with our gallery sales team and directors to plan and implement events that will enhance our exhibition programme.
  • Working with our Directors and Gallery Manager to grow and engage our audience through social media and other methods of promotion.

Overview of necessary key attributes / skills:

  • Proven track record of managing and utilising a CRM system to its full marketing and reporting potential.
  • Previous experience of managing a website CMS system (WordPress experience essential, WooCommerce experience beneficial).
  • Experience of planning highly targeted/segmented email and postal marketing campaigns.
  • Excellent knowledge of Adobe suite, e.g. InDesign & Photoshop.
  • Highly IT literate, with experience in administering a Google Apps account.
  • Fantastic oral and written communication skills and an eye for detail.

This is a key role in a small, busy company – the Communications Manager will need to be a self-starter, with the initiative and energy to manage their own workload and get the job done to a very high standard.
