01.04.22 - 10.04.22
Our celebrated Silent Auction returns for another year. For the first time since the pandemic, the Silent Auction Lots will be on display in our gallery as well as online. As in previous years, customers will be able to see the work in the gallery and place their bids in person.
A unique selection of work by Peter Layton has been made in celebration of his 85th birthday this year and our resident and selected guest artists will also have work available to bid on. Everything is available from the reserve price which is a discounted starting bid. Original gallery prices will also be visible for reference. Peter’s artworks have been carefully chosen from his ‘Highlight’ archive and each piece has an enchanting story to tell; they may be interesting pieces made during the development of a series, a beautiful accident or a piece that has turned out quite differently to the rest of the series – this makes them all unique and special. Expect rare, quirky and unusual..
Our Silent Auction is a chance to collect a truly unique treasure – your very own piece of British glassmaking history.
We are offering private zoom tours of the collection for people that can’t attend the gallery and see the work in person. Please email us for more information!
Each auction lot has a gallery price (to guide you) and a reserve price (the minimum amount you may bid).
If you are tempted to bid on multiple pieces, but you don’t have the budget to win them all, simply let us know that you’d like to do ‘preferential bidding’ and we’ll enter your bids one at a time, in order of your preference.
The deadline for online bids is 23:59 on Sunday, 10 April 2022.
