COLLECT 2022

18.02.22 - 20.03.22

London Glassblowing is delighted to once again be exhibiting in the online version of  COLLECT 2022, the international art fair for contemporary craft and design, taking place from 23 February to 6 March. For the second year, this 18th edition of COLLECT will again be embracing the virtual world by displaying the entire exhibition online, on the Artsy platform.

COLLECT is an opportunity for artists to present their best work, making it a staple of any art enthusiast’s annual calendar. This year is no exception, with talented glass makers such as Colin Reid, Katharine Coleman MBE, Sabrina Cant, and of course, Peter Layton, producing stunning pieces for this special exhibition.

In addition to featuring some of the glass sector’s most esteemed heavyweights, the established art show will also provide a platform for rising stars to demonstrate their incredible creativity and skill. This year, we are proud to present Sila Yucel, a promising resident glass maker here at London Glassblowing, alongside Sophie Layton, who joins us for her second year at COLLECT. Both of these artists have created breathtaking work that injects fresh excitement into the exhibition.

We are also delighted to present two collaborations within our COLLECT offering. Firstly, the father and daughter duo, Morag and David Reekie, return with some exquisite and thought-provoking pieces, playing into their incredible sculpting abilities. Joining them is James Devereux and David Patchen, who have produced mesmerising artwork that is sure to be a firm favourite from this year’s line-up. Patchen, a renowned American glass worker, brings his skills with cane to Devereux’s signature style, creating a complex and intriguing result.

COLLECT at London Glassblowing | 18 February – 20 March

Coinciding with the main art fair, we will be hosting a fringe exhibition, both in our Bermondsey Street gallery and online.

This showcase will be the perfect opportunity to come and see the work featured in COLLECT in person. Our friendly gallery staff will be on hand to provide further details and insights about the artists and displayed work.

To enhance the experience, there will be additional exclusive artwork available in the gallery and in our own digital catalogue.
