Casual Bystanders III
In this series, David combines glass with bronze elements - crafted in collaboration with bronze caster Freddy Morris - to enhance sculptural depth and narrative power. The figures, holding bronze staffs that lend a surreal theatrical quality, stand with blank expressions in ironic commentary. These "Casual Bystanders" represent those in society and political leadership who remain passive and seemingly blind to mounting social problems, highlighting David's interest in using mixed media to strengthen his social critique.
